A catastrophic wildfire has swept through the mainly Kurdish regions of southeast Turkey, resulting in at least 12 fatalities and injuring 78 individuals. The fire, which began from the burning of straw, was exacerbated by strong winds, spreading rapidly through the provinces of Diyarbakir and Mardin. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced the casualties, highlighting the extensive damage to both human life and livestock, with hundreds of animals also reported dead. The fire's rapid spread through agricultural and residential areas has prompted a significant emergency response.
